Perhaps a little too hard.

Fabric Notebook [PopComps]

Danielle made this composition notebook sculpture out of soft materials. She sez:

I wanted to take the general idea, and the recognizable aspects, of the Composition notebook and put them into a new format. I work with fabric and fiber materials in most of my projects, and so I tend to think in terms of those materials as well. This book was fun to make, I machine stitched the lines of the "paper" and image transfered the text and images. The cover was created using black fabric painted with white textile paint. I used a blanket stitch in an accordion spine to bind it together. I used excerpts of conversations for the text and original doodles for the images, which were photo copied and chemically transfered to the fabric.

Danielle's email is Danstina at gmail dot com.

Lisa the Drama Queen [PopComps]

A compy was featured pretty prominently in the recent Simpsons episode "Lisa the Drama Queen," in which Lisa and a new friend write fantasy stories about the magical land of Equalia. I would think any magical land ruled by someone called Queen Helvetica would be a little more, I dunno, Swiss? But hey, you can't beat the twonicorn who throws up rainbows. :P

So does every nerdy kid go through that escapist worldbuilding phase or was that just me and Lisa?

Meanwhile, in Brad's room... [PopComps]

Dude, snooping through a bro's compy? Not cool.
Such penmanship!
Brad just returned from his Fight Club/Snatch crossover movie Snatch Club... It's a working title.
Turn to page 150 for a sexy scene with Kirk, Spock and a werewolf.
Jen, on the other hand, loves this stuff.
Brad also insists a real man can benchpress his own weight in beef jerky and fart the national anthem at the same time.
Brad has plenty of time to lean, but apparently no time to clean.
I like the colored tape on the spines. Noted for a future mod feature!
Now let's get serious. Babylon 5/Harry Potter slashfic GO!!

Remember kids, you can have an adventure just by reading.
Take a look, it's in a book!

Hurley and Lola [PopComps]

Hurley is re-writing Empire Strikes Back so Luke and Darth resolve their father/son issues in a civil manner.

Lindsay is writing a reboot of The Parent Trap, hopefully with more light sabers.
